FAQ

Can I set an expiration date for the QR Code?

When uploading, you can choose a retention period of 1, 7, or 30 days. Files are automatically deleted after the period ends.

What encryption method are you using?

FS!QR uses AES-256 encryption. Uploaded files are also stored encrypted on the server.

Can I download the QR Code as many times as I want?

Files can be downloaded any number of times during the retention period. After the period ends, they are automatically deleted and cannot be downloaded again.

Does the person I want to share with need an account?

No. Recipients only need the share link or QR code and the issued 6-digit password. No account registration is required.

How to Use FS!QR

How it differs from email, LINE, and Google Drive

Difference from email attachments

Email attachments have file size limits, often under 25 MB, and require the recipient email address. FS!QR only requires passing along a QR code, with no email address needed. Files also do not remain indefinitely in an inbox.

Difference from sending via LINE

LINE requires users to be connected as friends, and large files such as videos may lose quality. FS!QR works without LINE friend registration, and files remain encrypted while stored.

Difference from Google Drive

Google Drive sharing settings can be complex, and a misconfiguration risks exposing files unintentionally. FS!QR requires no account and keeps things simple: set a password and retention period for secure, time-limited sharing.

Difference from AirDrop

AirDrop works only between nearby Apple devices. FS!QR works on Android and Windows as long as a browser is available, and files can be shared remotely.

Specifications and details

Supported file formats

Major formats are supported, including PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), images (JPEG, PNG, GIF), video (MP4), ZIP, and text files.

File size limit

You can upload up to 500 MB total per upload. Some formats, such as HTML/SVG, cannot be uploaded for security reasons.

Retention period

You can choose a retention period of 1, 7, or 30 days when uploading. Downloads are available any number of times during that period. After expiration, files are automatically deleted from the server.

How passwords and automatic deletion work

A 6-digit password is issued when upload completes. Downloads require that password, so the QR code or URL alone is not enough to retrieve the file. Files are automatically deleted after the retention period ends.

Common mistakes

1. You closed the page without saving the QR code: if you know the share ID and password, open it from the search page. 2. You forgot the password: passwords cannot be reset, so keep a note when uploading. 3. You tried to download after the retention period: expired files have already been deleted.
