FAQ

Is my data safe even with the free plan?

Communication is encrypted with HTTPS, and access is controlled by the share URL or by room ID and password. Group room files are stored unencrypted on the server, so users should decide for themselves whether to share highly confidential files.

Can I temporarily invite external partners?

By sharing the share URL, QR code, room ID, and password, business partners or guest instructors can join during the retention period. To end sharing, the creator can delete the room.

Is there a limit to the file size that can be uploaded?

With the standard settings, a room can hold up to 500 MB total and 30 files. Uploading is blocked if the new files plus existing files would exceed the limit.

How can I contact support?

You can contact us in Japanese through the contact form. Response timing depends on the content and operating status.

What is a group room?

A group room is a temporary sharing space where participants can upload and download files. No account is required; create a room and share the URL, QR code, room ID, and password to get started. It is useful for internal teams and temporary handoffs with clients or external partners.

  1. Use within internal teams

Create a room for each project and collect documents, reports, and image data in one place. Attachments no longer scatter across emails, making the latest version easier to manage.

  2. File handoff to external partners

Share the share URL, QR code, room ID, and password with business partners, guest instructors, or clients. After the handoff, the creator can delete the room.

  3. Use in schools and study groups

Distribute class materials, assignments, and reference images in one room. Students can receive them without accounts, so there is no setup cost.

How it differs from other file-sharing methods

Difference from bulk email

Email requires knowing everyone's address and often has strict file size limits. With a group room, participants can join with a share URL or room ID and password, and files stay collected in one place.

Difference from Google Drive and Dropbox

Services such as Google Drive may require a Google account. FS!QR Group requires no account, and participants can join with a share URL or room ID and password.

Difference from chat tools such as Slack and Teams

Tools such as Slack require every participant to register, and file retention often depends on a paid plan. FS!QR Group works in the browser and does not add extra cost.

Difference from USB handoff

USB drives can be lost, infected with malware, and are cumbersome for distributing to multiple people. FS!QR Group works in the browser, and the whole room is automatically deleted after the retention period.

Specifications and details

Supported file formats

Major file formats are supported, including PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images (JPEG/PNG), video (MP4), ZIP, and text files. Some formats, such as HTML/SVG, cannot be uploaded for security reasons.

File size and number of files per upload

With the standard settings, one group room can store up to 500 MB total and 30 files. Uploading is blocked if the new files plus existing files would exceed the limit.

Member limit

There is no limit on the number of members who can join a group room. It works for small teams through large projects.

Managing and deleting shared access information

When a room is created, the room ID, password, share URL, and QR code are shown. The creator can delete the room when needed. After deletion, saved files are no longer available.

Common mistakes

1. You forgot the password: passwords cannot be reissued, so keep a note when creating the room. 2. You do not know which room it is: if you know the room ID and password, join from the search page. 3. Old and new files are mixed: include versions or dates in file names before uploading.
