How it differs from other note services

Difference from Google Docs

Google Docs may require a Google account and sharing settings can become complicated. FS!QR Note requires no account, and participants can join with a share URL or room ID and password.

Difference from Notion

Notion requires an account and its free plan has restrictions. FS!QR Note is completely free with no registration required, focused solely on simple, collaborative text editing.

Difference from Slack notes and threads

Slack threads can quickly disappear in the flow of messages and are hard to organize later. FS!QR Note keeps edits in a single note during the retention period.

Difference from HackMD

HackMD assumes Markdown knowledge, which can feel difficult for non-technical users. FS!QR Note uses a simple text editor that anyone can use right away.

Specifications and details

Supported devices and browsers

PCs, smartphones, and tablets are supported. It works in major browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. No app installation is required.

Simultaneous editing participant limit

There is no limit on the number of simultaneous editors. It supports small teams through large workshops.

Editing history retention period

Edit history is not saved. Only the latest text is saved. For important notes, we recommend saving a local copy using full-text copy or another method.

Access restriction

Rooms are protected by a 6-digit password. There is no read-only mode, so manage URLs and passwords assuming recipients can edit.

Common mistakes

1. You forgot the password and cannot enter the room: passwords cannot be reissued, so keep a note when creating the room. 2. Another member accidentally deleted content: history restore is unavailable, so copy important content regularly. 3. Editing on a smartphone feels cramped: rotate to landscape mode for a wider editor.
